Creating and Configuring a VPS
Beyond the basics covered in Getting Started, each VPS has a handful of controls worth knowing about:
- Bandwidth limit - a monthly transfer cap in GB. Leave it unset for unmetered.
- Network / upload speed - a hard kbps ceiling, or mark it unrestricted.
- Storage pool - which disk pool the guest's qcow2 lands on, useful once you've got more than one pool (e.g. an SSD pool for OS disks, a bulk pool for extra volumes).
- Control panel access - if you've configured a control panel integration, a random access password is generated per VPS automatically.
If the owner is on a Resource Plan, the create form enforces that plan's per-VM vCPU/RAM/disk ceiling and its max-VMs-per-user count before it'll let the VPS through - you'll get a plain-language error naming the exact limit if something's over.
Separately, your server's own license caps the total number of VPS the whole install can run, regardless of owner. That's a hard, license-tier limit shown right on the create page.
